It has been about a year since I’ve been using the Roborock Dyad Pro and it has since died on me.

The detachable motor unit produces a high pitched screeching sound and produces no suction.

The mop unit continues to let water flow, and the rollers still run, so the mop is still mopping, but there is no suction to “dry” the water by sucking it from the floor.

I have contacted roborock support looking for a repair centre or help but they have been extremely disappointing. They first asked for a video to diagnose the issue, which I then sent in. But after they learned that the unit was not bought, they just deflected any help to whomever passed me the unit, which would be the PR agency.

Their response is disappointing to say the least. So now I have a mop that won’t dry, and the detachable vacuum unit cannot be used at all.

I have tried to find ways to clear the assumed blockage within the unit myself but to no avail.

Unlocking the LCD display on the Roborock Dyad Pro

The LCD display on the vacuum unit can be opened by pushing in and twisting to the left.

Underneath is the circuit board, but even after removing all screws and connections, it doesn’t budge.

By the front of the vacuum unit where I suspect the blockage is, I tried prying open the unit. I got only partial success where one side is prying but the other side is held shut, pro ably with a screw.

I could not find any other access to the unit.

Hopefully not many other Roborock Dyad Pro owners run into this issue, after all it costs north of a thousand singapore dollars.
