The value-for-money model in the Roborock lineup, the Q Revo, will be getting a newer, upgraded edition. Roborock announced the release of the Q Revo MaxV earlier this month with a few new upgrades.

Since then, I’ve gone back to the G10 dock and unit, but still feel like the Q Revo was a smarter robot, as it tended to get stuck less, and with its mop heads and base a lot easier to clean.

Mainly, the new Q Revo MaxV boasts a “FlexiArm” mopping system, which allows the mop to be swung out behind the robot, giving it bigger coverage than before on the Q Revo, without the need for the robot to spin on the spot to extend the coverage of the mopping without its outreaching extension.

The other main highlight is hot water washing on the Q Revo MaxV, giving the user control of hot water temperature, with the option of going up to 60°C. According to Roborock, 60°C hot water cleaning will help to remove oil stains.

The Q Revo MaxV will also come with voice commands, making it easier to operate the robot, even without the app.
