Update: After about a year of use, the Dyad Pro unit I was using broke down with no repair alternative: Roborock Dyad Pro Vacuum Issues: Disappointing Support, unresolved
A new product enters Roborock’s lineup of smart home-cleaning solutions. Announced on Valentine’s Day, the Dyad Pro is a cordless, standing, wet-dry washer.
Positioned to be a more heavy-duty cleaner than its line of robot vacuums, the Dyad Pro is set to be a complement to the current line of products, as a manual option to pick off stubborn stains and spots, or just for those who prefer a manual touch to their home cleanliness.
In terms of power, the Dyad Pro boasts a whopping 17,000Pa suction, according to Roborock. For comparison, their regular line of robot vacuums typically range from 2,500Pa on the lower end models to well above 7,000Pa on the flagship models.
Another enticing feature for me is the claimed self-cleaning capabilities of the Dyad Pro. Roborock claims the floor cleaner will automatically clean its rollers, preventing odor and bacteria build-up. Currently, the Roborock G10 I have at home does a good job of washing the mop before and after its cleaning rounds. From my use, no odor emits from the washcloth or mop, even when left under the vacuum, which is a lot more convenient than the non-automatic dock washing units like the Roborock Q7. However, this Dyad Pro will be running a slightly different set up from the robot vacuums, so I’m intrigued to see if it will be just as effective, especially when touted to be a wet-dry cleaner, which I imagine includes cleaning soup spills, coffee, and others.
In terms of effectiveness, as of the images released, I can only lightly speculate on how bulky or agile it can be. It seems to be quite loaded with hardware near the suction head, which I’m assuming will be less useful as compared to a swivel head, but might mean stronger cleaning powers. I would definitely be keen to try out this heavy-duty floor cleaner.
The Dyad Pro is currently available for S$1,299 on the official Shopee and Lazada Roborock Stores.
