We are spoilt for choice as consumers in today’s world. When it comes to robot vacuums, this is no different. So in a sea full of options, what should you pick?

The S7 MaxV Ultra makes a stylish, functional, and intelligent addition to your home.

In my opinion, it’s the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. In a field of options, this one stands tall, and let me tell you why. Full disclaimer, I’m a huge fan of Roborock, but only because their products have swayed me over, from way back since the S5. Here’s why the S7 MaxV Ultra is my highly recommended robot vacuum:

The Ultra Dock is self-cleaning and empties and refills the vacuum.

The Ultra in the name refers to its Ultra Dock. A self-emptying, self-cleaning extension for the robot vacuum. This dock compounds the usefulness of the vacuum system, leaving you more time to just kick back and relax, for longer before needing to attend to the unit.

Thanks to its dock, the S7 MaxV vacuum unit is able to do 3 things. 1, dump its vacuum bin content into the tower, 2 wash its mopping cloth, and the dock itself, and 3, prolong the amount of time between refills on the system by automatically refilling the vacuum unit.

The dust bag holds 7 weeks of dust from the vacuum.

This extends the mopping range up to 300sqm according to Roborock. The dust bag of the tower is also made to hold up to 7 weeks of vacuuming before needing a change. These conveniences that come with the S7 MaxV Ultra mean a much longer interval between needing to attend to the unit, all the while having clean vacuumed and mopped floors.

More than just convenience in refilling and emptying the unit, the S7 MaxV Ultra also employs the use of technology to make the robot uniquely intelligent.

The S7 MaxV Ultra’s sensors help it detect obstacles, and also double up as a calling tool.

The S7 MaxV Ultra boasts 5,100 Pa of suction power, which Roborock gladly adds that its more than double of the more common 2,500 Pa figure found on other market vacuum’s.

It comes with ReactiveAI 2.0, a 3D-structured obstacle avoidance system, featuring a “Neural Processing Unit”. Roborock says that this is greatly improved over the capabilities of the S6 MaxV, and due in part to its RGB light for more accurate detection.

While in use, the S7 MaxV Ultra uses an  LED light to shine on low-light areas for better detection. The function is also an option which can be controlled by the user.

The vacuum is also promised to be faster and more accurate, whether in the day or night, thanks to its Structured Light 3D sensor and PreciSense LiDAR navigation system.

The LiDAR system makes it possible to identify precisely the objects within your home. Thanks to its processing unit, the vacuum is able to identify things from sofas to beds to TV stands and more. The S7 MaxV Ultra will even be able to map out a 3D mock up of your house with its Matrix Map function.

Using its dual cameras, the S7 MaxV Ultra can see objects as small as 5cm wide and 3cm tall, avoiding obstacles like cables to prevent tangling of the vacuum’s moving parts.

Roborock engineers continually update its processing capabilities, done so with Over The Air (OTA) updates, from the app to the vacuum, meaning you can update the software with just the touch of a button on your phone.

The S7 MaxV Ultra also features the Roborock Vibrarise sonic mopping for cleaner floors through its sonic mopping at an intensity of scrubbing 3000 times per minute.

The Vibrarise system also saves your carpet from being soaked by the mop, thanks to the vacuum’s smart detection system, raising the mop when it senses carpeted textures. As a backup, vacuum-only zones can also be set up within the app.

The Vibrarise system detects carpet textures and raises the mop automatically.

With all the hardware inside the unit of the S7 MaxV Ultra, it only made sense to enable this feature that frankly few would have thought about: remote viewing.

The S7 MaxV Ultra lets you view your robot’s progress remotely, and goes one step further by letting you listen and speak through the vacuum remotely, thanks to its onboard mic.

If ever you’re away from home, the S7 MaxV Ultra also serves as a little portal to home for you to check up on your pets or housesitters.

In my experience with Roborock’s line of vacuums, this is the top of the line for the brand, and definitely the one to get if you have the budget for it. What you’re getting with the S7 MaxV Ultra is the highest level of tech and convenience that Roborock can offer so far, and in my experience, they don’t disappoint. If top of the line robot vaccums are for you, then the S7 MaxV Ultra is for you. The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is now available on Roborock’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada.
